  •  My bully was a girl. (14+ / 0-)

And because she was popular, I suffered while the whole damned school admin turned their backs on what happened in plain sight.

I had one teacher come to my rescue - who kinda of shielded me by allowing me to sit in her classroom at lunchtime and during study hall.  It was the only thing that saved me, because I was feeling as low as Jadin probably did.

However, I did get to see some revenge.  My bully and I started our freshman year at the same high school.  I kinda of blossomed and came into my own, and my bully got a reputation for being a well-dressed skank.  Being known as the "girl with the mattress on her back" had to hurt, and I even felt sorry for her.

Imagine my surprise when she, of all people, sent me an invitation to "friend" her on FaceBook a year or so ago.  All those bad memories came flooding back and I asked myself if she even remembered how she had me ridiculed in junior high - she even dated a guy she knew I had a crush on, just to hurt me.

My heart aches for Jadin all the more, because I'm sure some of the bullying he endured included being ridiculed about who he may have had a secret crush on, or something like that.
