  •  Here's hoping your political crystal ball (8+ / 0-)

    is right on this one:

Rubio is going to be tossed to the wolves by his nativist party. Just you wait and see.
I will wait with baited breath.

        From what I've seen.

        •  Cruz is not a joke. (0+ / 0-)

He's a highly educated man who previously served as Solicitor General for the state of Texas.  He has access to huge pools of money from both business interests and the teapartiers who financed his Senate campaign.  He's a very dangerous man - don't underestimate him.  He may sound like just another teatard blowhard, but he's not - his constituency is big business which is more than willing to back his political career.

If he supports immigration reform he loses the nativist base.  Hell he'll lost the nativist base anyway for showing ANY support for modest reform.

If he opposes it or obstructs it then he'll get trounced by the non Cuban Latinos who don't particularly like Cubans anyway.  In Florida for example there is an ever growing population of non Cuban Latinos who will all turn on him.

So he's damned if he does and damned if he doesn't.  Frankly I love to see that lying sack of stupid shit squirm.

..."Uncle Ruckus", Rubio, Cruz and Labrador are all finalists for that designation.
