that can help to facilitate the occasional bacon event.

In any case, mine get to practice their deterrent skills six days a week when the mail carrier comes to drop the mail - AND they are successful (they think, anyway) at driving the carrier away every single time, too.

Although my one lab can "throw" a ball for himself - not very far but he seems to enjoy it.  I also knew this golden who would take a ball to the top of steps of a hill and then push it with her nose so the ball would go down and enable her to chase it.

retrieve, but she's an awesome soccer player.  Her more houndy sister and brother are only good at live squirrel retrieval.

If we throw a ball, they all watch it fly through the air, land and then look at us like, "What now?"  lol

do sing - or yodel let's say.  When I come home, I get a "talking to" for having been out in what can only be described as a quasi-seranade.

            •  Oh we get something like that. (1+ / 0-)

When Mrs Newfie and I go out for a walk on weekend mornings - that generally wakes the kids.  And then my more senior lab will "talk" to me in a varied growly sound when he wants my attention.  It really sounds like he is trying to imitate speech.
