    experience during hubby's cancer treatment was very good. Paid everything they were supposed to. Without that and Medicare we would have been bankrupt right now.

    •  Oh, I'm sure they did. They have to since it's (6+ / 0-)

      required by law that they pay 20% of the Medicare allowance. I just had a very bad experience with them when they were my group carrier when I was not yet on Medicare.

      Also, I got really mad at AARP for something they did a decade or so ago that I thought was unconscionable - can't even remember what it was now - and decided on a personal boycott. I know whatever it was, there was a big uproar over it.
