  •  Me, too. (3+ / 0-)

I envied all the people 10 years older than me, who were growing long hair and doing the free-love hippie thing.  My parents wouldn't allow me to grow my hair long.  They should see it now :-).

As for music, I think our generation had its heyday around the time of the new wave:  Talking Heads, Elvis Costello, Eurythmics, Squeeze, Devo, etc.  It was good music, but, it seems, it wasn't as timeless as that of the late '60s.

Glad to know there's no health crisis on the home front.

    •  Well, I think in a few years (3+ / 0-)

it all will have stood the test of time. On my MP3 player, I think I might have more '80s stuff than '60s stuff at this point, and yes, from all of the groups and people you mention.

A few more days and I can get back to concentrating on my mother-in-law again. And should be okay to help with clearing out a lot of junk around here this weekend to get ready for the building renovations starting on March 11 -- actually looking forward to when they fumigate because it means we get a weekend away; I'm trying to talk Mr. Scribe into a Napa trip because he owes me big time and I want to see my friend with the wine shop before baseball season starts. :-)
