It is questionable if he is eligible to run for president. He was born in Canada to a Cuban father and American mother. He was not a natural born citizen but would his mother being an American citizen make him eligible.
If he ever runs this would really be a case for the courts to decide presidential eligibility. He has his eye on running but he is probably to nutty to ever get nominated.

    •  If he has an American (0+ / 0-)

parent, he might legally be eligible:

For persons born between December 24, 1952 and November 14, 1986, a person is a U.S. citizen if all of the following are true (except if born out-of-wedlock):

The person's parents were married at the time of birth

One of the person's parents was a U.S. citizen when the person was born

The citizen parent lived at least ten years in the United States before the child's birth

A minimum of 5 of these 10 years in the United States were after the citizen parent's 14th birthday.

So if his mom lived in the U.S. for 10 years, five of which were after the age of 14, he would be considered a citizen.

Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek. Barack Obama
