    ... not undergoing background checks criminal, only criminals will not undergo background checks.

    So ... if you have a gun and you haven't been through a background check, you are - a fortiori - a criminal. Makes perfect sense to me. Workable, too. And enforceable.

    Finally, LaPierre has hit a nail squarely on its his the head.

      Wayne's argument could be used to argue against any criminal law. Why have laws against armed robbery? Criminals will just ignore them.

      If we had no laws at all, then we would, by definition, have no criminals at all. Splendid reasoning, Wayne!
