    In places that we eat regularly we try to get to know the servers and we tip them generously.

    The $2.13 minimum wage is an abomination. I would think owners would be embarrassed about it but they, of course, actually love it. I never understood how this vile rule continued but now I know. It's the restaurant lobby that wants to keep their workers in poverty so they can make more money for themselves.

    Restaurants have off the charts turnover, some as much as 4 turns per year. It would seem a decent wage would slow this down so they're not always training new people.
