  •  I'm pleased for all Californians (5+ / 0-)

that the Democratic takeover has led to great growth in jobs, restoration of sanity in budgeting and revenues.

But you know,  it still doesn't rain enough in southern California, its too cold in San Francisco, and I like my mountains smaller, much smaller, and rounder and greener.  And I've never cared much for the ocean.  So ya'll are safe from me.

    •  Yes, our mountains are tall (0+ / 0-)

Something I personally appreciate. Here's a picture of the view at Kearsarge Pass (11,760') in 2005 (my aunt and I in the foreground).

It's gets pretty barren up past 10k feet, no doubt. But, and it's a big caveat, our Mother's bones are breathtaking too. Besides, big mountains have lots and lots of lower foothills, and the Sierra foothills in Central and Northern California around 2000'-4000' are more beautiful than most people from out of state have any idea of, and have all four seasons in rational measure. I admit my bias but in my opinion the only part of California that can come close to competing with our mountains and foothills for beauty is the coast from the center up.

A picture I took of a sunrise taken on the Lost Coast, taken in 2011.

My country, right or wrong; if right, to be kept right; and if wrong, to be set right.
