  •  One reason why I only use the word "senseless" (0+ / 0-)

    when referring to a state of unconsciousness. It's one of those words that by sloppy usage has been stretched to breaking point. Both Reagan and Obama used it to mean something like "appalling" or "beyond comprehension". If National Review wants to score points by playing at word purity, then I guess it is proper to ask them when they last conducted a review of the nation.
