China and Scandinavia are doing ok economically.

And it was Obama's continuing socialization of the bad debts of banks and major industries that "saved" capitalism in this country.  (After Bushco started it.)

The "stock market" being artificially re-inflated to pre bust highs is not an accurate measure of the health of the economy for average citizens though.  They are still unemployed at historically high levels, while many of those employed are making historically low wages.  And almost all Americans have a lower standard of living.

These same citizens will have to eventually pay that tax money back.  (In inflation and lower standards of living, in not in actual taxes.  The gifts to our oligarchy created our deficit.)  But the Wall Street friends of our "socialist" president won't have to pay back the money they've looted out of the economy at our expense, thanks to our "socialization" of their industries.

What IS bad for our country is the continued propping up of the very system that brought about the collapse in the first place.  We will be paying for that for years.  And the current administration is almost as guilty as the previous Republican one for doing that.

History will tell if our government's actions the last five years was "good" for America's long term health.  But the current stock market highs are not a legit indication.  And by what other measures are we "better off" as a nation?
