    I am sure Brown realized that running for governor would be an easier sell for him to Dems not wanting the GOP to get one seat closer to running the Senate.

    He will most likely run for governor and charm his way into office.  

    As for the Senate seat, all the above bloggers are correct in that this opens the race wide-open.  Certainly Capuano could make a run for it.  All things being equal, charisma and excitement can really rule the day.  Of course, a Markey/Capuano/Lynch race could get dicey for us, but, given how infrequently these seats open up, nows the time.

    Perhaps Niki Tsongas will reconsider.  2 femaie US Senators in Massachusetts, that would be awesome.  

    Markey better get his ass in gear or he is in for a huge battle royal, and I think he's already realizing that, but, too late!
