  •  So if you cannot afford to accept liability (4+ / 0-)

    for what you do with a gun, you shouldn't own it.  Sell it until your financial situation improves and you can go buy insurance and a gun.  Same as with a car.

      to forget, along with the precedent that has been set via the SCOTUS? Why not focus on repealing it instead of doing your best to act like it's not there?

        thing from that sacred Amendment.  Many, many things are regulated, so why can't guns?  And since they are regulated (because machine guns and nukes aren't freely available) why can't we insist upon everyone being responsible for their gun ownership? That's all I'm doing here - if you insist upon having a gun, prove that you're responsible by getting insurance for the damn thing.  If you don't, you are showing that you don't want to be responsible for what happens from your action of having a gun.

        The 2nd Amendment doesn't need to be repealed, but it can't be used to justify irresponsibility with deadly items.
