    I had forgotten that bunch of factoids (Aurora, Sandy Hook, climate change, election). I think I will skip the ASA and go straight to the ETOH. Tastes better.

    Seems to me this was selling off Iraq leftovers and other stuff DoD needed to get out of the garage. As I recall, the thought I had was we need to:

    1) Cut all programs that Congress Critters bestowed on DoD to preserve jobs in their districts, even though the stuff was of no use to the military anymore.*

    2) Audit the Pentagon, using NO DoD employees, appointees or contractors or lobbyists, or investors, or congressional staff. (Did I miss any?)

    3) When the DoD sells this stuff, the amount they make should be deducted from the next year's budget.

    * The rest of my take on this is that the companies can't sell military weapons directly to other countries. So they continue to sell to DoD, and they can sell them to the right countries.
