When the Big Tobacco companies finally realized  they were losing the fight in many "first world" nations because their citizens weren't buying the bullshit koolaid anymore & sales plummeted, they turned their attention to the third world.  Gotta sell those cigarettes, gotta make those bucks, to hell with morality or ethics or any of that silly stuff that gets in the way of profit.

I see the same thing going on with guns. As more and more countries ban or regulate firearms, the market is shrinking. Instead of targeting the so-called "third world" (which they've pretty much saturated with weaponry by now anyway), gun manufacturers & their hangers-on looked around the globe, sized things up & said: hey, there's a lot of Americans, they have money, they have that 2nd amendment thingie in their Constitution we can use to scare the crap out of them and make them buy up all the hardware we can't sell anywhere else. Let's do it!

Same reasoning, same methodology, same immorality.
