    lawyer before he became engaged politically, ironically it seems he defended free speech . He like many of us became active because of the Bushies abuses of civil and human rights. He's not really a pundirt but a writer, whose main focus is on civil rights and the politics involved in our current by-partisan dismantling of them. I don't agree with every stance he has he's more conservative then I am but I read him regularly because he is not approaching the heart of our systemic political problems from a partisan position. He calls them as he sees them and is a scrapper who has a background in law.
