    Of refined oil products such as gasoline. Here's a WSJ article: U.S. Nears Milestone: Net Fuel Exporter. Those people who say we need the pipeline to get energy independence are lying. They want the Keystone pipeline to ship the oil down to Oklahoma and Texas, so they can refine it and ship it to South America, Europe, wherever. It's all about money, not energy independence.

    And in the meantime, the fracking boom in North Dakota is producing so much oil, they're shipping it to the West Coast or the East Coast on trains. Here's an article from the Star/Tribune: Jumping aboard the North Dakota oil-by-rail shipping boom. Why ship to the West Coast? So you can ship it to China. Or refine it and ship it. And ports on the west coast are getting coal from Montana and Wyoming and shipping it to China. They're expanding the ports to send coal and oil to China (which is thirsty for energy to expand their economy, so they can make products to ship back to us to sell at WalMart).

    The whole thing is seriously fucked up.
