  •  I Use recyclables, too (10+ / 0-)

I can't afford to always be buying plastic baggies and disposable containers.

I've collected these things I use over many years.  Some were gifts, like our lunchbox (mine and Itzl's) - it came with flatware, salt and pepper shakers, a cloth napkin, an insulated compartment, and a second compartment. It's roomy enough for breakfast, lunch, and snack for me and Itzl:

These are the containers I use for sandwiches, soups, sides, and Itzl's meals:

And for my sauces and condiments:

Mustard, mayo, ketchup, and salad dressings fit in these:

And for runnier sauces like vinegars, oils, seasoning sauces:

Here are some of my fancy sandwich cutters. I also use cookie cutters:

I keep all the lunch making tools in this bin:

I have a double walled glass at work for water, and a mug with a mug heater (gift from a co-worker) for my tea.

I've seen some that plug into a USB outlet so they're powered by the computer -- that would be awesome since I do most of my tea drinking at the computer. (I do have a travel mug that I use mainly when I'm on the couch because it doesn't spill when I'm carrying it over there.)

I want to get a new reusable bottle for NN13 -- the one I used in 2010 started to develop leaks so had to be recycled. Also thinking of getting measured for good quality ankle braces because I'll be on my feet a lot and that would help my weak ankles. (Saw those today at the medical supply store when we were getting some items for my mother-in-law and that's what put them in my head.)

for 11 years now... When you get one, don't stint on quality.  This is the one I have - it's not USB, but it has lasted for a very long time. I'm not very trusting of the USB ones, mainly because I have a cheap little netbook and I don't think it could handle a USB mug heater.
