The Tea Party hasn't been demonized, the media has fawned over them. They had unprecedented weeks of free, active media promotion. The media would tell people where and when to go to find a Tea Party event.

And still the Tea Party rallies were a small fraction of the anti-war rallies - and the anti-war rallies didn't get so much as a minute of media promotion in advance, and barely any coverage afterward.

The Tea Party demonstrates that the media has an overwhelming right-wing bias. But the GOP will still trot out their liberal media canard.

People aren't turning from the Tea Party because the big bad media is picking on them. They are turning from the Tea Party because they don't like what they hear from the Tea Party.

It's always someone else's fault. It's young people's fault, because they aren't joining the Tea Party. They aren't obligated to. If you want younger people to join the Tea Party, you have to persuade them. And the Tea Party's rhetoric drives them away.

If you want a GOP which has driven away moderates, don't  be surprised if people turn away from the GOP because the party has gotten more extreme.

If you're willing to hurt the country just to destroy the Democratic Party, don't be surprised if people turn away.

But don't blame anyone but yourself.
