  •  But UPS doesn't deliver on Saturday (0+ / 0-)

Except for premium services. So why do they not have these problems you described from packages being bottlenecked?

    •  UPS runs 24/7 (0+ / 0-)

The UPS Center ("hub") I worked out of didn't shut down 'til late saturday afternoon, after the customer counter had closed and the last delivery driver was in. Early saturday morning a couple sleeper team feeder drivers with double bottom tractor-trailer rigs left for the other side of the country, they'd be on the road all weekend. The hub reopened on sunday afternoon, and by sundown was as busy as ever with packages being sorted and feeder trucks leaving for regional centers. Hostess was similar, and even though the route trucks didn't deliver on sunday and wensday, the bakeries and big transport trucks were busy 24/7.

    •  My USPS man delivered UPS & Fedex packages (0+ / 0-)

during the holidays through the USPS. He said he could hardly keep up! I don't think there's any mistaking what's going on here.

      Strange but not a stranger.
