It goes without saying that you are entitled to your criticisms of the President, many of which are justified.  However, drones, FISA and banksters (who are finally starting to get some heat) really don't have anything to do with this pick for the interior.  This post is about her.  Those people here who know her and have worked with her and are familiar with her work and views are very pleased by the nom, and seem to think it suggests a turn for the better.  That doesn't make them the "appreciation society."

But people who continue to take him at his word have very poor judgement IMO are are substituting emotion for reason because they like him. He has broken his word too many times to give us good reason to believe what he says. I realize that some of these things have nothing to do with this pick, but I gave them as examples of reasons to not trust him in general. And some of these things do have to do with environmental policy. He's either going to do what he says or not. I'm tired of the bread and circuses.

If you use every post about every topic touching on the presidency as an opportunity to rail against him and his failures, soon people stop paying attention.

attention in the first place, i.e. the appreciation society who place partisan and personal loyalty above good policy. At this point there is literally no valid reason to be a full-throated supporter of this president. Only truly silly people are still in that camp. Even on his own terms, he's a disappointment.

And no, I don't think that Romney would have been better blah blah blah.
