  •  We can spend $10 Trillion in the War on Terror (0+ / 0-)

but why are we so stymied in trying to spend anything on the War Against Climate Change? Especially as it threatens stability and viability of human governance and survival globally?

It's become clear that carbon dioxide and methane gasses are the worst global enemies to human existance--ones that we've created and keep on creating. They affect the oceans--affecting the currents, acidity, air masses flowing over it; they affect the air temperatures and vapor burdens, the seasonal cycles of weather, and overall climate. The melting of glaciers an ice plates affects ocean salinity and acidity, and alters long term patterns of air masses and weather patterns.  Droughts, floods, and storms are all becoming more extreme, threatening crops and liveability of urban centers.

Our planet is developing a man-made fever, causing frankenstorm weathers with manic capabilities. We'd not let any other enemy destroy our highly populated coastal lands, our cities, our civilization and vital food sources so easily.  It's clearly High Time to 'take them out', for the sake of billions of human beings and the future of Planet Earth.
