      should use the bully pulpit to give Americans the heads up about how the GOP-controlled congress is trying to get rid of this entirely American institution.

        Nixon was the one who took the Postmaster General out of the cabinet, where they could have a voice in national affairs. Now, they're voice instead is only in Congressional hearings, where they are countered by those who hate their successful history of showing that government can work and work well.

      The Constitution states:

      "The Congress shall have Power To..."

      The word "Shall" means 'must' or 'is obligated to'

      This is an obligation.  This is why Republicans don't argue against this.

      The idea that there is no constitutional guarantee is a false idea.
