    With this kind of pain, it seems nothing can touch it.  Some things barely take the edge off and others make you not care so much. But the pain is still there.

      with catapres and Neurotin as well as my gout pain meds and still felt like screaming

      I still felt "pain", but didn't care.  Strange feeling.  It also came with the feeling that it was highly addictive, but luckily I was only on it for only a week or so following surgery.
