  •  If you read the letter (8+ / 0-)

He's not at all that direct, but he doesn't really "admit" fault, either. It's got the classic "if I caused offense, I'm sorry"; but there's a good bit of people's needs under the unique circumstances, a point about being a "community chaplain", and a pretty clear suggestion that someone who hasn't dealt with a tragedy like this maybe doesn't have all the right answers.

    •  Yes, that was noticed (9+ / 0-)

Rev Morris is a younger minister.  Probably motivated to be a minister in part to serve.  Imagine that!!!

How does one look at the face of Noah and the 27 others murdered that day and not feel sorrow and compassion?

I wouldn't be surprised if the Missouri Synod looses a young minister to another church.  I hope the majority in his church back him up.

Rev Harrison is rather backwards in more way than one - He will learn he doesn't rule or control the Internet!  I notice the page upon which the letter is published has been closed to comments - LOL!  They may be getting a few more than usual and not want the faithful to see others questioning such mean-spirited edicts!
