...Murkowski, the member of a political party that detests the federal government and federal government spending and insists the federal government stay out of local people's business in favor of state's rights...insists that the federal government pay for a remote road in her state?

Ummmmmmmmmmm....how about the state paying for that?

Furthermore....using this irrelevant action against a nominee who has nothing to do with the proposed project is...not only the height of misusing political power to hold the entire country hostage for petty, personal political reasons...but it's also blatantly amoral and unethical on its face.

Senator Murkowski needs to be investigated for misusing her political office for purely partisan political reasons. This is, at the very least, unethical.

Wilderness designation of the area that the proposed road would cross. Federal designation=federal approval required.
