  •  Monday morning rolls around again (13+ / 0-)

and brings that Hawk that Chicago is famous for.  It could be much worse, though. The sometimes heavy rains of yesterday took care of most of the remaining snow and it's 37 degrees, but, oh baby, the wind.....sustained winds of 25 to 35 mph with gusts of 45 to 50 mph.

I hate sounding so whiny but I'm tired of winter and we've hardly had any. Mid-February angst sux.

    I've got answers today:

Never had braces. Need glasses only to see up close. I've ridden horses an odd time or four in my life but became convinced that horses just didn't like me. I last rode a bike when I got one as a 68th birthday present back in November. We've not exactly had bike-riding weather since. Don't recall ever collecting anything, odd or not, as a kid. Strange as it is, living my entire life in the midwest I have not experienced a tornado. I have felt a couple of teeny-tiny tremors from earthquakes here in Chicago. No hurricanes for me although that big backside of SuperStorm Sandy that hit us in Chitown probably was close to it.

Hoping for sunny days ahead! Now, go out a carpe some diem, okay?
