Sounds like you have a great relationship with your brother!  :-)

My bro is 22 months younger than me, so between Dec. & Feb. we're only one year apart, and then it's back to being two years apart.  He teases me about being two years older on my birthday and I tease him about catching up with me when his birthday rolls around.  Harmless and silly kidding, but it's comfortable.  He does have one more fake knee than me (but I'll have to have the other one replaced in the not-too-distant future, so we'll both have fake knees).  He had a mild heart attack less than a month after he retired, and atrial fibrillation episodes.  He had a procedure called ablation done on his heart almost a year ago, and [knock on wood] it was successful and he hasn't had an A-Fib episode since then.  There's just the two of us, no other siblings, so my world would pretty much fall apart if anything happened to him since both of our parents have been dead for many years.  I told him nothing can happen to him 'cuz I have funny birthday cards yet to send him [true; I bought a couple of them a year ahead of each birthday or at the same time for the one following that again].

My bro is one of the good guys of this world.  He takes after our dad who remains the kindest, most thoughtful and loving father a kid could ever have.  Everyone should have a nice father like ours!  When the grandkids came, he wound himself around their little fingers and happily perched there like a genie.  He'd read books to the kids, they followed him around the yard as he busied himself with little tasks, or they rode on his lap when he used the riding lawnmower, etc.  Patient as the day is long.  Really terrific man.  [He died in 1975, but now I smile every time I remember him.]

:-D  Enjoy being a grump occasionally, if you want; I don't mind!  :-D
