    "...in fact, he [Obama] put that [the Chained CPI] on the table in his proposal...."

    But the job is only half done.  If Obama is willing to put a cap on Social Security for the poor and less fortunate, then he needs to order a freeze on prices for however long the "chained CPI" is in effect.  For all of his faults as a man, Richard Nixon was a good president in this area back in 1971.  He did order a freeze on wages -- no increase -- but he also put a freeze on prices -- again no increase.  Why Obama does not comprehend this is beyond my ability to understand.  The poor and we seniors can bear only so much of the load, and the Democrats -- as well as the Republicans -- need to muster up enough intelligence to grasp this fact.  If they don't have that ability, then we are all in big trouble.
