he would fix US healthcare? Just wondering,as I am also wondering if the bizarre idea that the US recession was basically caused by our broken healthcare system is the new meme Pete Peterson's merry band is going to try and sell. Perhaps Peterson's "Fix the Debt" hoopla isn't working as well for them as planned?

say it needs to be done and explained how our healthcare expenditure, both private and public, is the biggest problem facing our economy. He went on to explain how different kinds of debts are different and if the debt incurred is a debt that produces returns in the future then that debt is not problematic because it produces returns. He further went to say, and I am going by memory and paraphrasing, that a country can live with a debt that is 80% of GDP for ever and actually do quite fine. Of course a lower level would be better, he said, but trying to lower it the wrong way is bad or disastrous. He used the U.K. and what it  they are doing right now as an example of what not to do. Anyhow, I thought it was interesting to watch.
