  •  If he believes what he says, he will refuse (34+ / 0-)

To accept unemployment insurance or any other government aid. Is he still receiving any kind of health coverage for his time in Congress? He should refuse that too.

But that would mean, of course, having to live with the consequences of his politics. Never going to happen. After all, he's not like those government moochers!

at least I hope not.  I'm glad he didn't earn the great lifetime benefits package congress gives themselves.  I'm hoping nobody wants to pay to hear him speak.  After all, when he was running for congress, he might have had to pay people to come to his rallies so he would look well liked.  Amazing.  And they are saying the Tea party is dead.  We'll see what Rubio and Rand say tomorrow night.

      •  I am so looking forward to the Rubio/Rand (4+ / 0-)

party tomorrow. If that does not stick the final nail into the teeparty, I do not know what will. Subtracting of course the 26% or so that think Agenda 21 is gonna ruin all of our lives. Because ya know - they have planted devices in our refrigerators and such to know how much electricity we use.*

*Heard at an actual Tea Party meeting I was forced to attend.

if a habitat is flooded, the improvement for target fishes increases by an infinite percentage...because a habitat suitability index that is even a tiny fraction of 1 is still infinitely higher than zero, which is the suitability of dry land to fishes.

So you are saying because they served their country they don't get to collect on an insurance policy they paid into?

I have said this many times...You do not get to pick and choose who gets to benefit.  We all do or we all don't.  The rules are clear.  He wasn't exactly fired, he was more or less laid off.  I doubt that the HR dept of Congress would fight it.

I don't know what the rules are.  Maybe they don't pay in, in which case he would not qualify.

I agree though.  Now that he is one of us, he is whining.  I mean doesn't he love his children?  How freaking cold can a person get?  And if he does get unemployment, I am pretty sure they can attach those wages as well.

He is able bodied so there is no excuse for him not having a job.
