    In the UK, all buildings pre-1700 are listed in one of three categories. Grade 1 is the highest and reserved for buildings of special historic interest.

    Mum and Dad's was listed Grade II, which places significant restrictions on what can be done to it.

    Wealden Hall houses are very old, and beautiful, but fortunately there are still plenty of them, hence the Grade II listing.

    I hope that the quality of debate will improve,
    but I fear we will remain Democrats.
