Even if Eliz. Warren herself was Maj. Leader,  what, exactly, could she do with these Senators that are holding us back??

Christ, you're not seeing the situation for what it truly is.  It's even worse that what you think.  The Senators who are acting as co-conspiritors with the GOP have little to lose at this point.  JesseCW says they should have been named/shamed on national television.  OK.  And then what?  I believe DiFi was just reelected. Handily.

Would it do any good to primary:

Reid, Levin, Feinstein, Baucus, Leahy, Boxer, Pryor, Manchin??  What are the chances of that happening?

the same people here shaking their head at Reid would be shaking their heads in a shit-eating "I told you so" manner at Elizabeth Warren had she been Majority Leader.  These same people who are proud that they are like cats who won't be herded and proudly question authority see what happens when the Democrats they do NOT like emulate them ... not enough votes for the Merkely/Udall solution. Oho! It's then they wonder why Reid can't be more like a Republican and get them in line.

"Valerie, why am I getting all these emails calling me a classless boor?"

We want Reid to play the same hardball to get votes for progressive issues that he gladly plays to get votes to block progressive bills.

income gains to the top 1% from 2009 to 2011 were 121% of all income increases. How did that happen? Incomes to the bottom 99% fell by 0.4%

    •  She could have threatened to pull committee (5+ / 0-)

      chairs.

You think that wouldn't work on Di-Fi, you don't know Di-Fi.
