  •  They are the worst drivers (5+ / 0-)

I lived in Fla for over 30 years. You could always tell when the snowbirds were in town. Left turns from the right lanes, driving under the speed limit, waiting for the light to change to green on right turn allowed on red.
It's about time for that they prove that they can drive and obey traffic laws

    •  Not sure about Ontario and Quebec (8+ / 0-)

but Albertans and British Columbians are some of the most courteous drivers I have ever seen. They commonly pull over on two lane roads to let overtaking faster drivers past -unlike the rolling road blocks so commonly seen in the southern US.

    •  Most of the snow birds (4+ / 0-)

are from the US.  Let's not pick on the Canadians.

The Canadian drivers I will pick on are the logging truck drivers, in both BC and Ontario.  Watch out!!!!

Then they are probably from Quebec. I don't think you're allowed to do it there.

none of those maneuvers were listed in the manual as illegal.

the influx every year. The tax revenue they bring in is very helpful, but at what cost?

we don't have any 'snowbirds' to speak of.  I could make a parallel series of comments about the local drivers (I've lived here for five years and am originally from Canada).

Regard the use of turn signals as optional at best.  I'm convinced some have never used one.

Regularly apparently fall asleep while waiting at red lights based on the amount of time it takes them to get going once the light turns green.

Although generally not aggressive drivers they often seem to turn right on a red light without checking to see if someone else with the right of way is coming from another direction.  I've almost been hit several times while making a protected left turn.

I've lived in Florida now for the last fifteen years and the natives here are just as piss-poor of drivers as anyone in the world.  The worst is red lights, they're merely a suggestion to most people here.
