    An average of 115 persons die each day in motor vehicle crashes in the United States -- one every 13 minutes.
    And that doesn't even include the number of people who commit suicide using the ol' tailpipe.  This is a good reason to force all cars to be either electric or natural gas:
    After the British government phased out coal gas in favor of natural gas in the 1960s, the suicide rate in Britain fell by almost a third and has not risen since.  The use of coal gas as a suicide method has declined as most domestic gas supply worldwide is now natural gas, which lacks carbon monoxide
