  •  Whatever happened to that rule... (6+ / 0-)

about uprating HR comments. Seems the RKBA'ers violate it every day. It could certainly use a little more enforcement these days.

    •  It's what they do. (6+ / 0-)

They're infamous for it. And because there's enough gun trolls in their little group, they get away with it.

    •  ??? What about HR deemed inappropriate? (11+ / 0-)

Just because somebody decides to drop a HR on a comment, does not make it off limits for uprates.  I am not the type to call people out, so I am not going to go through the files and find the many dozens of uprates that were put in to drag comments out of the Hidden Comments wastebasket.

I just did a Google search for "uprated for bogus HR" on Daily Kos and got over nine million hits.  This is not exactly a new thing.

Somebody even gave shortfinals a HR today.  That turned out well...Not.

      •  In this case... (0+ / 0-)

those HR's were completely justified. The uprates... Not so much! It seems you RKBA'ers have a completely different interpretation of what is deemed inappropriate. Fits right in with your gun views.

If you did, you'd find your RKBA'er friends are the biggest offenders.

I don't think you can document that with a fair analysis of the phenomenon. One of the things that annoys hell out of me about this site is the assertion of data that are pulled out of thin air. Over on Professor Jonathan Turley's law blog, there is a running discussion on the differences between beliefs and provable facts. Assertions that do not even come close to meeting evidentiary rules are faith based opinion, not facts.

Millions of hits over the life of this blog after a simple Google hack search?  I know how to do Google hacks and break it down more closely, but the result would look like the telephone book.

If there is a repository of data somewhere on the numbers of uprates on comments having HR also, broken down by interest group members, I am most interested in seeing it.
