When called on falsehoods, you try to characterize them as "rhetorical," even though, when read in context, they were clearly attributing to people specific stances.

That explains quite a bit, actually.

Rush Limbaugh uses that dodge quite a bit, as well.

I'll try to recall, in the future, that this is a tactic that you use as well, and react accordingly.

    You have a lovely day.

Yes, I often dress as a pirate. Your point?

YOU (OR ANYONE ELSE) of dressing like a pirate.

And now you want to change the subject?

      Just like that?

I'll make an effort to respect your order that my days be lovely. Not that it's any of your business, (or anyone else's business for that matter), what kind of day I have.

But you go right ahead and assert what kind of day I should have. It's your right, after all, to use a rhetorical FU that everyone understands, to dictate what my day should be like.

If I forget disregard you order and have a shitty day, can I count on you to help out with some explaining?

I'm sure you won't mind helping out a compulsive dodger, will you?

What we really need to know is whether you think Rush knows what a WIDE. STANCE. IS. and WHAT. IT. MEANS.

And, just to be clear, I'm not accusing you of knowing what a wide stance is.
