    All the changes made later on behalf of the health care industry and their lobbyists weakened it severely.

    Democratic Leaders must be very clear they stand with the working class of our country. Democrats must hold the line in demanding that deficit reduction is done fairly -- not on the backs of the elderly, the sick, children and the poor.

      It ended up as a mostly toothless shell of a program that maybe did some good here and there. Which has now been further whittled down into yet another giveaway to industry without little in exchange for the public.

      I'm now realizing that Obama II is just Obama I with prettier progressive language. He probably figures he can fool enough of us long enough to get the rest of his neoliberal agenda in place as he plays his role in the next round of good neoliberal/bad neoliberal. It's all kabuki, and we're fools to fall for it.

      Watch how they work to undermine Warren and other progressives.
