    I vaguely recall that London already has a tiny financial transactions tax, and the European Union is looking to put in its own similar tax.

    We could do that in the US and raise hundreds of billions a year from speculators, traders, and the owners of the computers they use. Not much movement on that front, tho, is there?

    Meanwhile the apologists are saying that the banks will get so mad they'll move offshore to places where they'll be taxed on every trade they make?

    I'd have a transaction tax in the US exactly equal to whatever they'll have in Frankfort or London. Shut up and pay your fair share.

    Nobody will be moving nowhere.
