    didn't think it was a big deal.  I would have mentioned it, or asked permission, but that's just me.  I wonder how many loads she did?  If just one, most people wouldn't have thought to say anything, but it a few loads, common courtesy would dictate to ask or tell you, because your water and gas/electricity bills might be higher.

    Did she use your detergent?

      My guess is one load.  It's true that my utility bills will be slightly higher, but given that it's winter, it probably won't be that noticeable.  I know that my friend lives in a building with a coin laundry, so it's a bit of penny-pinching on her part.  OTOH, given that we're FB friends, I can see implicitly where she blows $ elsewhere, i.e. nights out with other people.
