  •  RoCali, you are brave and persistent. thankyou (13+ / 0-)

Your story is one of thousands but more clearly and cogently expressed than most. Keep up the battle. I am a forensic psychologist who deals too often with the consequences of not enough beds for the mentally ill. The only bed and safety is jail. My state which is in most ways highly progressive, now sits last the the country in Mental health beds available which returns the mentally ill to homes where parents can't cope with them, to jails which also can't cope with them, or to the street which eventually returns them to jail.

What a mess!! In our state, a seemingly progressive state, our legislature has met the recession with cutting mental health services, education, and health care for the poor. Go figure.
    Values, what are humans values?

thank you for all you do.  You folks are true heroes to me. And I agree, what we see happening is a mess; a mess that boils down to human pain, suffering and, sometimes, tragedy.  I truly fear where we are headed on this, we have a problem only beginning to reach critical mass. We are approaching a health crisis on this and most of society is still in denial about it.  They still think that a cure for clinical depression is a better attitude and positive outlook.

You are my brother, my sister.
