if he had chest pain... he had "trouble breathing all week".... how clearly do they need to spell out all the possible symptoms of heart failure, and how much blame can you possibly place when the patient refuses to seek treatment?     Nobody can fix a patient who won't come in for diagnosis or treatment.

come across as quite thoughtless. I usually just ignore such but two so close I cannot. Before one actually posts a comment, there is a chance to reconsider - to "preview." A poster has put up that his father is about to die. Perhaps you two have not been through that, or it is long ago so you cannot remember how painful that is. This is a time to show sympathy, not judge. Would you say such to a friend calling you in similar circumstances, to your mother or sibling? Consider if what you're posting is integral to the topic, if it adds to the conversation, if necessary facts are relayed. Additionally, consider if even with all that, the cruelty of your words may be excessive. I'm sure you two were not intentionally nasty, but it does come across that way.

Now, I apologize, pipercity1, for veering off-topic of your diary - glad your husband's condition was caught despite delays, and good on you for following up with the first doctors' group. I'm surprised they actually gave some indication of fault - very atypical.
