as the DoJ itself part of the systemic use of, killing, violence, terror and torture to any perceived threats to authority. They have normalized the immoral, brutal and violent extra-legal training and use of our military and our police.  I find it ironic and tragic that this happened in a movie theater where Zero Dark Thirty was being shown.

Fear and violence permeate our society to the point where unarmed citizens who do not or cannot comply with 'law enforcement' are treated with lethal force. Humans are now potential threats that are dealt with by physical violence top down. As the cop who ran amuk last week said in his unhinged manifesto you trained me.

Holder and Co. are the last people who should investigate the police that the feds arm, train and unleash on any human globally who threatens the power of authority. Look at what we do in the name of law and order, justice and keeping us safe. Fear, violence and intimidation has become our only law. Inhumanity and brutality cannot be investigated by the very entities that have taken basic human and civil rights off the table. Welcome to the Dark Side.

    But what's confusing you
Is just the nature of my game
Just as every cop is a criminal
    And all the sinners saints
    As heads is tails
    Just call me lucifer
Cause I'm in need of some restraint
    So if you meet me
    Have some courtesy
Have some sympathy, and some taste
    Use all your well-learned politesse
Or I'll lay your soul to waste
    Pleased to meet you
    Hope you guessed my name

My preference would be to utterly retask DHS to rooting out bad cops and making the streets safe again.

that while not perfect respects human life or any life for that matter.. Speaking of which check out Greenwald's column today. This may seem off topic but I read it first thing this morning and it came to mind when I read both your dairy and the dairy about  police beating to death a homeless person dairy. I guess these people were 'imminent' dangers.

People seem to think that our out of control police state and it's militarized violence against others in the name of protection or law and order is separate from the GWOT.  Our government and our societies disrespect for both the real laws/rights of humanity and human life is systemic. We are going to find that we have lost the only protections we the  people really have. Our human and civil right and the universal laws that keep the real monsters reined in and checked, both here in 'der Homeland and globally.

When supposedly liberal Democratic ' leaders' start defending killing 'pre-crime' American citizens it's time to take a good look at the systemic violence we as a society have supported under the guise of protection. Peace in any form is scoffed at as it's a dangerous world so we need to kill kill kill.

Pop quiz on US politics: guess the speaker
A prominent US politicians makes some familiar statements about secrecy, the War on Terror, and Muslim enemies: who is it?

??? speaking of the secret kill list and drones

“It’s interesting how popular it is in the public,” she said, recalling that the same polling dynamic prevailed during the fight over warrantless wiretaps. “People just want to be protected. And I saw that when we were fighting them on surveillance, the domestic surveillance. People just want to be protected: ‘You go out there and do it. I’ll criticize you, but I want to be protected.’”…
