    They've got the money.
    They've got 1/2 the congress.
    They've got 30 Republican governors.
    They've got the Supreme Court.
    And they will not give up - ever.
    We can not ride a 'rising tide" because it may not be a "tide". It could be a bubble.
    One election does not a tide make.
    Savor that small victory and get to work.

      We need to get over this notion that the radical right will just fade away when the white conservatives die off. The conservative movement will be far more resiliant than that, for the exact reason that it is nurtured by (if not wholly a construct of) the infinitely wealthy plutocratic forces operating behind the scenes that have been exposed here and in other reporting (climate denial industry, NRA, etc).

      I think we need to get smart ASAP and look forward to anticipate how the plutocrats will inevitably morph their efforts to overcome the demographic changes that are neutralizing the current methods of obstruction and control. For example, in the future, look for the creation of front groups and astroturf movements that split hispanics and other majority-minority groups from Democrats.
