  •  Rest... (6+ / 0-)

I find sitting with a good book in the living room to be a luxury.  I used to sleep outside (on the pretext of reading), which I loved.  Once it is warmer, I will try that again.

So far, I managed to work a full week last week.  It was my return after chemo.  Then I hiked on Saturday, although with many breaks.  Then slept - most of the rest of Saturday, and large parts of Sunday.  Started today pretty slowly, but finally got back to work for a partial day.

I love walking.  When I am by myself, it is meditative.  When with someone else, it is companionable.

    •  Hey, that sounds good, corvaire! (4+ / 0-)

I imagine you are a person for whom the opportunity to rest is scarce. Sleeping outside sounds great--especially in the spring, when it is warm enough but before the bugs are out in force. (That lasts for about a minute around here.)

Walking is so lovely, I agree. Perhaps the single most readily available form of exercise, and an excellent one to boot. It's been the cornerstone of my husband's own fitness program, and it has been plenty for him. I used to be able to outpace him, and now our roles have switched. Have to get back at it to keep up evenly again.

Glad to hear that your return to work is going all right. Hugggs!
