    something somewhat similar in 1983. The main difference is that I concluded that the change has to come at a national level. Society by society. And then a world leader needs to come onstage and spark the changes that you note.

    I think that we may not, now, be that far away from the requisite level of societal change.

    And then I keep hoping for worldleaders?

    There can be no protection locally if we're content to ignore the fact that there are no controls globally.

      Individuals with expertise and resources can make it happen.

      A slaver says: "Work for me or I'll kill you." A corporate executive says "Work for me or I'll take away your means of survival." Is there a difference?
