  •  How can you be friends with people who are so (10+ / 0-)

    willfully misinformed?  If I had any "friends" like that, they would not be friends for long.  Family, you are stuck with them, but people who I chose to associate with are not that willfully stupid.

      as one of my oldest friends, before either of us understood politics. Otherwise I probably would've stopped associating with him long ago.

      I've told him to go fuck off with his BS on more than one occasion, though we do sometimes actually have useful political conversations. But we manage to be friends as long as we don't talk politics TOO often.

      Hell, I think half of the time it's just to piss off me or other friends. Strategic anti-Obama trolling, like I said...sadly enough.

      It's almost worse that I know that he doesn't really believe all that BS, though. :( (At least he doesn't engage in blatant birther crap and the like. Mostly anti-tax and anti-union rants, etc.)
