  •  Took 4 years to get there, and as I said, (12+ / 0-)

he continues to hobnob, pretty reliably, with oil industry insiders (anyone remember how his administration cooperated with corralling the media away from the BP oil spill washing up on the shore?) and with Wall Street insiders (his appointment for treasury is from Citigroup and was paid a huge bonus if he was appointed to government position).

So, those are good steps.  Those are appreciated steps.

But a man is known by his actions and his associations.

Why is he not associating with economists and leaders who understand and represent Main Street?  Why did he sit by for years while Geithner pretty much torpedoed (or permitted to be torpedoed) the mortgage relief program?

Why is he not associating with well-known ecologists, scientists and climate change researchers?

The point stands, regardless of the "White House response:"  people with solutions to both economic issues and environmental issues are locked outside the White House, while the president spends plenty of time with those who are the reason for the problems.

Actions speak louder than press releases. Pretty much end of story.
