Since when do we need to "partner" with "private capital"?   We don't.  Since when have taxpayers not gotten totally screwed by one of those deals?  Not since the days of FDR.

And let me guess, this will be passed "behind closed doors" after much Kabuki so we won't know how badly we've been screwed until its too late.

Yeah, this one is a non-starter for me.  Obama didn't need to put that kind of bullshite in the proposal.

Like cuts to Social Security payments, we've got another bad idea from this WH.  I'll make sure to let my congressperson and senator know that I don't support it.

Democratic Leaders must be very clear they stand with the working class of our country. Democrats must hold the line in demanding that deficit reduction is done fairly -- not on the backs of the elderly, the sick, children and the poor.

working well.  This is the best President since FDR, after all, so that's not surprising.

I'm not looking for a love that will lift me up and carry me away. A love that will stroll alongside and make a few amusing comments will suffice.

      •  Working well for whom? (0+ / 0-)

They're certainly not working well for the 200 million Americans who are still out of jobs.

They're not working well for low and middle income seniors who are facing cuts to SS thanks to these cretins.

They're not working well for the millions who still have no access to affordable health care.

They're not working well for people whose jobs are being shipped overseas every day and face higher and higher insurance premiums and health care bills.

IOW, things are not working well for the 99% but for the 1% and all the 1% wannabe's working in DC, they're working out really well.

            •  50 billion is a drop in the bucket (0+ / 0-)

A trillion would create between 20 and 25 million jobs, thats at least realistic, and a good position to start negotiating from.
