right show up for the ribbon cutting ceremonies.  Without chickenshit Dems we could have swung round two and gotten a bigger stimulus and quicker results.

No one is seriously claiming the stimulus did nothing, and their record on waste and fraud problems is stellar.

We've seen this movie before.  Quite a few times.

The corporations and banks get a shitload of money and few, if any, jobs are created.  The GOP will "force" Obama to carve out any good parts of the plan and leave in place the corporate welfare.

No, I'll me calling my members of Congress and using social media to let everyone know what a shitty plan it is.

We're just fucked for the rest of his term.  All we can do is hope to mitigate the damage enough to elect a Dem to the WH in 2016.  Obama's going to spend the next 4 years using our money to buy a new job in the private sector.

Democratic Leaders must be very clear they stand with the working class of our country. Democrats must hold the line in demanding that deficit reduction is done fairly -- not on the backs of the elderly, the sick, children and the poor.

alternate reality.  Republicans pour money into the private sector, Dems not so much.  Obama really not so much.  And his partnerships so far have been very effective and worthy of emulating.

I don't understand your inability to give him any credit for anything unless you read a lot if FDL stuff and think Glenn Greenwald is a progressive voice.

        •  TARP? (0+ / 0-)

          A fine example.

Voters are sick and tired of seeing taxpayer money doled out to corporations who are making record profits.

Obama had a choice of putting out  good jobs bill and forcing the GOP to cave to voter pressure.  Instead, he loaded it up with corporate welfare, much as he did ACA - and Republicans still didn't vote for it.

If Dems get whatever watered down and tax break-laden klinker of a bill passed, it will still probably be done with no GoP support.

That can only mean that the WH wants this kind of bill, that they've promised these giveaways to their own corporate donors and don't really care how many jobs are created.

Democratic Leaders must be very clear they stand with the working class of our country. Democrats must hold the line in demanding that deficit reduction is done fairly -- not on the backs of the elderly, the sick, children and the poor.

          •  TARP wasn't an Obama program, it was (1+ / 0-)

a Bush program that Obama and the evil Geithner altered to make it necessary for the evil corporations to pay back those loans tout suite.  By controlling executive pay I might add.  He also funneled a chunk of it to the auto industry and saved a whole lot of jobs AND helped begin rebuilding our manufacturing sector.

Reflexively yelling about TARP and Obama proves my point that you're not paying attention to facts.
